GIVE APPLAUSE FOR A VERY GOOD CAUSE

To date St Albans Charity Players have raised nearly £30,000 for Charities in and around Northamptonshire from the massive help of the many people who come along to the performances.

This year is no exception with £4,000 being raised over the year in aid of Victim Support and Younger Persons Support Group (with Parkinsons).

Christine Thomson of Victim Support said "I was speechless (which I generally am not). We are very, very grateful for the support from the Players, for the money in particular, but also for being able to meet such an enthusiastic group of people. The commitment needed sounds challenging to me and I can only say that I admire you all. Thank you again."

The three performances during the year - 'A Rainy Night in Georgia', 'Clueless' and 'Rainbow Valley' were performed by the group to celebrate 10 years of writing by Colin Gasson who is one of their members.

The two charities that St Albans Charity Players will be supporting this year through their performances and your donations are Crones & Colitis Northampton who provide care and information to suffers of these two disorders and Low Down which provides support to young people aged 8 to 14 years.

Thank you to everyone who supports the St Albans Charity Players and comes along to see the performances. You too could help by popping along and supporting this year’s performances the first of which is in early June 'Cat on a Fiddle'.
